MINOT, ND (KXNET) — October is National Stop Bullying Month, and one center is using today to spread awareness and promote kindness across the community.

The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is observing National Stop Bullying Month with a spirit week. During the week, each day has a different theme, and students can dress up every day with a goal of spreading kindness and raising awareness about the effects of bullying.

Today is "Bee Kind Day," where students and employees are all wearing matching shirts that have bees on them.

Leaders said this week is all about supporting the Ranch's mission to help children and their families heal and grow.
