KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A former swim instructor in Kernersville pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

You might remember this case from earlier this year.

The case began in January 2025 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a CyberTip to law enforcement. The Invictus Task Force, a multi-agency group fighting child exploitation crimes, launched an investigation.

Investigators arrested 26-year-old Ryen Haskins in February after an Invictus Task Force investigation found he'd photographed or recorded victims between 8 and 14 years old.

Haskins was a contracted swim instructor with Infant Swimming Resource based out of New York.

He faces 18 to 84 months in prison.
