University of Tennessee Chattanooga approves Turning Point USA chapter following student government’s vote against it

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WSMV) - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has approved Turning Point USA to open a chapter on campus as a Registered Student Organization.

TPUSA was co-founded by Charlie Kirk and has more than 300 chapters on college campuses across the U.S.

“Recognition of student organizations is determined by the Dean of Students and Chancellor in accordance with university policy and state law,” UTC said in a social media post.

As part of the process becoming a Registered Student Organization at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the Dean of Student’s Office has completed its review of a group of students’ application to establish a chapter of Turning Point USA on campus.
