SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Mason Punchers put their district title streak on the line with a young roster this season.

Coming off their bye week, the Mason Punchers begin district play with a mission of claiming a 15th straight district title. But for now, none of the history matters. Mason is currently 2-3 at the midway point of its 2025 regular season, one that's been defined by a young and inexperienced lineup, injuries and a first-year head coach. This season has been turbulent at times, putting Mason in unfamiliar territory, but the bye week has helped the team regroup and recover leading into its district opener at Thorndale.

In head coach Wade Griffin's vision, the Punchers' identity is beginning to take shape, revolving around player confidence and maturity.
