COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - A group of Texas A&M students is set to be recognized during a College Station Council meeting on Thursday for their Texas flood relief efforts over the summer.
The members of Student Bonfire stepped up and made a significant impact as they joined search efforts following the deadly flooding in the Texas Hill Country. These student-volunteers are known for building a bonfire each fall, and those skills were used during those efforts over the summer in Kerrville.
They sprang into action to help with flood relief efforts in Kerr County, emphasizing the selfless service in the Aggie Core Values .
The student group’s bravery and courage in dropping everything to help others caught the city’s attention. The College Station City Council is proclaiming Oct.
