WESTPORT, Conn. — The head coach of the Staples High School football team in Westport is being recognized by the National Football League’s New York Giants and Gatorade.
Matty Jacowleff is the Lou Rettino High School Coach of the Week for Week 6 of the 2025 season. He was chosen by the Giants and Gatorade.
Led by Jacowleff in his first season as head coach, the Wreckers are 4-0. They recently defeated the Darien Blue Wave on the road, 31-6. It was the program’s first victory over Darien in 13 years.
