The Falmouth High School volleyball team’s tournament aspirations took a bit of a hit on Wednesday evening as the team lost for the third match in a row, dropping a 3-0 decision at home against Pembroke High School. The Titans pulled a season sweep against the Clippers. They had also won the first match of the year, in Pembroke, taking a 3-1 score that night.
With the defeat, FHS fell to 5-9 overall. The team entered the night as the No. 28 team in Division 3, with the top 32 earning bids to the postseason. With just six matches remaining, the team would benefit from stringing together some wins to either reach .500 for an automatic berth, or to help their power poll numbers.
