The following are excerpts from the Mashpee Police Department logs dated Thursday, October 2, through Wednesday, October 8. During this time frame, the department saw 682 calls for service, 76 motor vehicle stops, nine arrest/criminal applications, five motor vehicle crashes, 15 alarms and three EMS/assist fire department calls.

Thursday, October 2

2:30 PM: A car versus motorcycle crash occurred at 197 Great Neck Road North. No injuries were reported.

8:20 PM: A single-car crash occurred when a vehicle hit a telephone pole on Red Brook Road at the intersection of Great Neck Road South. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Friday, October 3

5:32 PM: Officer John Dimitres responded to Stop & Shop at 10 Bates Road for a report of shoplifting. Mashpee reside
