PILSEN — A shop offering a variety of arts, crafts and locally made products recently opened on Pilsen’s 18th Street.

Homegrown Studio, 1011 W. 18th St., opened Sept. 13 with products from 30 local creators and entrepreneurs. Christina Stelyn, owner of Zin’s Flower Shop, and Nikole Bennett opened the retail collective and event space to offer a permanent home for local makers and artists to sell their creations.

“We’re all from here. We’re all local,” Bennett said.

Shoppers can find jewelry, art prints, glass ornaments, leather, vintage clothes and jewelry, wreaths, textiles, wearable art, candles, skincare, locally grown condiments and sourdough starter kits, among other gifts.

Unlike traditional shops, Homegrown Studio doesn’t buy goods from artisans for resale. Instead, each vendor
