PARK SLOPE — A $668,000 CITY GRANT will expand services for homeless families through Women in Need (WIN), New York City’s largest shelter provider, officials announced Wednesday at the Shirley Chisholm Transitional Housing facility, according to PIX11. WIN President Christine Quinn joined Council Speaker Adrienne Adams and city leaders to unveil the funding , which will sustain job training, permanent housing, and childcare programs amid ongoing federal budget uncertainty. WIN operates 16 shelters citywide and more than 200 permanent housing apartments, and it provides job training and professional certification.
“With the government shutdown and the budget President Trump has proposed, we could lose millions,” Quinn said.
