TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — As summer comes to an end, the community is preparing for colder temperatures — including Valley House’s warming center.

“We’re getting into what we call our busy season,” said Randy Wastradowski, executive director of Valley House.

Valley House and its warming center are havens for Twin Falls’ homeless population, especially in winter.

“We provide shelter for up to six months, as long as the person or family coming in is complying with our program. We also offer community showers, so if somebody is homeless or doesn’t have access to showers, they can come in,” Wastradowski said.

With temperatures dropping, the warming center needs volunteers for the upcoming winter season.
