TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A juvenile male faces an aggravated assault charge after police said he displayed an “AR-15 style rifle” during a verbal argument on Saturday.

Twin Falls Police said they responded to the area of the Five Points intersection at 4:28 p.m. after reports of a passenger displaying a rifle during a verbal altercation with a family in another vehicle. The passenger raised the gun in a threatening manner when the suspect vehicle left the scene.

Police officers conducted a “high-risk traffic stop” on the suspect car at the parking lot in front of Target. Police recovered an “AR-15 style rifle” and took a juvenile male passenger into custody for aggravated assault.
