BATON ROUGE, La. —

Louisiana’s START college savings program is back online with limited features after a cyber incident shut down the system last month.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, 2,640 account holders had logged into the START system, according to the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA). The program, which helps families save for college, is run by LOSFA under the Louisiana Board of Regents. Advertisement

Officials say all accounts are secure and have been closely watched during the outage. The State Treasurer, LOSFA, Regents, and banking partners have worked together to monitor the system.
