TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - This Saturday, BYU is bringing its unique tailgating style to Tucson ahead of the game against the University of Arizona. The event, held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Arizona Sand Volleyball Jimenez Field, features a "Read and Feed" collection drive benefiting the Sunnyside Unified School District.

BYU's tailgates focus on giving back to the communities they visit. Instead of traditional tailgate fare, fans bring items like children's books and non-perishable foods.

The initiative is part of BYU Alumni Cougs Care, aligning with BYU’s creed: “Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve.” Since 2019, BYU has organized these service-focused tailgates, partnering with local charities in each community they visit.
