BUFFALO, N.Y. — The sister-in-law of an Erie County Sheriff's Chief of Narcotics D.J. Granville will not face any charges in connection with an incident in which Granville admitted to driving recklessly and causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
Neither will the four other Buffalo police officers who responded to the scene that night and who later refused to cooperate with Seaman's probe.
The case had been investigated by Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman. He issued this statement on Friday:
After a thorough investigation into the events of April 11, 2024, and careful review of all of the information at my disposal, I have determined that there is insufficient evidence from which to charge any of the responding police officers or Lt. Lucia Esquilin with violation
