CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police tells 3News that a 16-year-old boy is dead and a 14-year-old was wounded after a shooting in the city's Garden Valley neighborhood.

According to police officials, officers from the CDP's Fourth District received a call about a person shot in the 7700 block of Garden Valley Avenue at approximately 12:08 p.m.

Cleveland EMS reported that crews transported one of the teens to University Hospitals and the other to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in critical condition.

"This incident remains under active investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit," the CDP added in its statement.
