ST. LOUIS — The families of 17 players on the Cardinal Ritter College Prep football team have hired attorneys after the players were pepper-sprayed by police in Ohio a week ago .

Officers at the Massillon Police Department said they were hired for security for the game on Oct. 3. There were allegedly multiple altercations between both teams after the game ended, and officers pepper-sprayed the players after they allegedly refused to follow orders.
