BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has broken ground on a new outdoor experience expected to open next year.

The Ozark Discovery Canopy is described by museum officials as a science, art and nature-based playscape for all ages.

It will be set in a wooded ravine near the museum and is expected to create a "sensory-rich experience for families and visitors to come together in nature," according to officials.
