An overturned dump truck in a ditch off Highway 27 is causing traffic delays near Pearson International Airport Saturday, Toronto police say.
The incident happened around 10:45 a.m. on the highway near Neatic Drive, police said in a post on X. They did not say how the truck became overturned, but did say in the post that there was a collision. Officers are on scene investigating.
One northbound lane is closed in the area as officers await a tow truck with capacity to remove the heavy vehicle, police said. Traffic has been moving slowly on that part of the highway Saturday, and police are encouraging drivers to use alternate routes.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
