Ware Shoals dismantled McCormick 48-0 on Friday to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Quarterback Jayden Johnson started things off for the Hornets with a 25-yard rushing touchdown near the end of the first quarter. Johnson was 14-of-19 and threw for 223 yards on the night with five total touchdowns.

In the second quarter, Johnson found Altavis Evans for a 38-yard passing touchdown and followed that up with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Brennan Goode.

“Jayden played so solidly at the quarterback position tonight," Ware Shoals coach Chris Dodson said.

Evans rushed for 123 yards on nine carries and scored a rushing touchdown in addition to his sole target in the second quarter. Goode took his 4 receptions for 60 yards and found the end zone twice. The Hornets led 18-0 at halftime.
