GRESHAM, Oregon — Gresham police are investigating after a suspect threatened to shoot people, then fled into the neighborhood late Saturday morning.
Around 10:28 a.m., police responded to a call about a person armed with a gun threatening to shoot people at 18200 Southeast Yamhill Street.
While police were responding, the suspect fled into the neighborhood but surrendered shortly afterwards in a resident's backyard, according to the Gresham Police Department.
The suspect was taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the community. Police added that no one was injured during the incident.
