PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police released officers' bodycam footage after a suspect allegedly tried to take an officer's gun during a nearly 7-minute struggle . After the incident, the suspect was taken into custody, and two officers were hospitalized.

Police said they released the bodycam footage as part of their commitment to transparency with the public.

An investigation relating to the Sept. 27 incident remains underway, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Officers had responded to a call about a man who had been allegedly hitting passing cars with a metal pole on Northeast 33rd Avenue over Interstate 84.

Officers later found the man, identified as 43-year-old Bo W. Davis, in the Oregon Park area, after he reportedly threatened a man and his son. When officers confronted him,
