MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Dozens gathered at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown Saturday morning for the annual Miles for Migraine event, a fundraiser that aims to bring awareness to migraine and headache disorders while supporting ongoing research, treatment and the training of new headache specialists.
Miles for Migraine holds 21 of these fundraisers across the United States each year, with this being the sixth annual event in the Mountain State.
Even with many West Virginia University students away for fall break, the fundraiser still saw a strong turnout with more than 100 participants.
There was a two-mile walk along with the 5K run, and all participants received a finisher medal as a little thank you.
