MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Fall fun is in full swing in Morgantown, and Mal’s annual Pumpkin Festival is back, bringing chili, live music, and even exploding pumpkins to Old Cheat Road.
The festival acts as an end-of-season celebration, and this year's event was packed with plenty of fun for the whole family.
On top of a chili cook-off, there were several food and craft vendors, along with face-painting and even a petting zoo.
12 News spoke with Mallory Moholt, owner of Mal's Fresh Produce on the idea behind hosting this annual pumpkin festival.
"They shop with us so much, we want to give back to them, and we want to just bring everybody together here at our storefront so they can see everything that we have." Moholt said. "We do pick a charity every year to donate part of the proceeds
