DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Decatur County law enforcement took a man into custody Saturday after he allegedly threatened violence on school property.

The Parsons Police Department said Paul Jones was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 11 based on accusations made by a "reliable witness." During the incident, Jones reportedly stated, “I don’t know what I have to do to make you guys take me seriously, I guess I will just have to take a gun to the elementary school.”

According to authorities, Jones was charged with threats of mass violence on school property. No additional details were released about the circumstances that resulted in his arrest.
