PORTLAND, Ore. — Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found shot to death inside a car in Northwest Portland on Saturday night.
A welfare check call was placed around 5:09 p.m. in the area of Northwest Kearney Street between 22nd and 23rd Avenue.
Police later said that call was related to a woman who had been found dead in a parked car with a gunshot wound. She was identified on Sunday as 39-year-old Krystal Lynne Pendergraph of Portland.
The Multnomah County Medical Examiner confirmed Pendergraph's cause of death to be a gunshot wound.
No arrests have been made, and police did not provide a suspect description.
