DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Crowds showed off their Halloween costumes at Lake Superior Zoo’s annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event.

Dozens of local businesses lined up along the zoo’s path to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.

Families also enjoyed looking at all of the animals and hopping on the train while making their way through the zoo.

Some even came in group costumes, as a fun opportunity to visit the park as their favorite TV characters.

Ryan Thiel, his wife, and two kids dressed up as the Teletubbies.

“It’s a lot of fun,” said Thiel. “We’re getting a lot of pictures, singing a lot of Teletubbies songs in the car, which has been exciting.”

It’s not only about dressing up. ‘Boo at the Zoo’ also encourages families to view and interact with the animals.
