This summer, the Campbell County Commission approved up to $15,000 in Optional 1% Sales Tax for Gillette Reproductive Health, but with the stipulation that the agency first raise $40,000.
This week, however, the commissioners discussed lowering that $40,000 to $20,000.
Under the original agreement with Gillette Reproductive Health proposed by the county, the agency would able to receive up to $15,000 in Optional 1% Sales Tax, but only after it raised $40,000 in private donations. Each dollar raised past the $40,000 mark would be matched 1:1 by the county, up to $15,425.
