LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- It's been nearly a week since 12-year-old Haylee Ryan was tragically killed after she collided with a school bus in the northwest Las Vegas valley.
Saturday evening, family members, friends and community members held a candlelight vigil at Lied Stem Academy, where they shared memories of Haylee Ryan and honored her life.
The pain was still fresh, but so was the love and support shown for her family.
"She was very creative and kind and funny. I want her to be remembered by all the stories of how creative she's been. I want everybody to remember her by heart and soul," Malilah Dumdei, a classmate of Haylee Ryan's, said.
Flowers, candles, and handwritten notes were each one a symbol of love for the 12-year-old.
