Drivers should watch for farmers driving or working near roads. Slow-moving vehicles will display an orange triangular sign on the rear, signaling the need to slow down and stay alert.

Police advise against tailgating, as farmers might make sudden stops. Indiana State Police Sgt. Jeremy Piers said, "All it takes is a little patience to keep everyone safe."

Another tip for courteous driving during harvest season is to plan ahead, allowing extra travel time to accommodate farm equipment on the roads.
