TOPSFIELD, Mass. —

A person has been taken into custody on Sunday morning after making threats towards the Topsfield Fair, Massachusetts State Police said.

According to a press release, state and local police became aware of a person who had been making threats against the Topsfield Fair just before 8 a.m. Police believed this individual to be emotionally disturbed and issued a "be on the lookout" for the individual.

Just before 8:30 a.m., police located the person of interest's vehicle at the fairgrounds and placed them into custody. Once the officers had the individual in custody, they told police that there was a bomb inside the vehicle.
