ODESSA — The Odessa Board of Aldermen meets in regular session Monday.

The board will proclaim Oct. 24 as World Polo Day.

A purchasing policy establishing guidelines for competitive bidding procedures will be introduced. The board plans to discuss temporarily extending hours for selling, serving and allowing alcohol consumption within city limits during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Mayor is likely to be authorized to enter a contract for the removal and land application of lime sludge solids at the water treatment facility. There will be a discussion about code enforcement. Time is reserved to enter closed session to discuss litigation and sealed bids.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Dyer Park Community Building.
