SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - With drought conditions gradually developing over most of the ArkLaTex, we could use some rain. It appears our next chance of rain will come with a cold front next weekend. Severe weather will be possible.

This cold front will have a decent amount of upper-level support. This means that severe weather will be on the table. It’s a bit early to pinpoint the extent of the severe weather threat and what impacts any storms could bring. Chances are that the storms will be strongest to the west of our area and should be weakening as they move in on Saturday night. Keep in mind that we are still nearly a week away from this event, so things will likely change some.
