NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Thousands of people are without power early Monday morning as a nor'easter passes through Connecticut.

As of 3:40 a.m., over 4,745 Eversource customers are without power. Most of the outages are affecting hundreds of people throughout different parts of the state, mainly in East Hampton, Old Saybrook, East Lyme, New Canaan and Ashford.

For United Illuminating customers, around three power outages affecting 10 customers have been reported.

Norwich Public Utilities outages have not been reported. For updates, visit their outage map.

Do not approach damaged electrical equipment, downed power lines or poles. Any downed power lines should be reported to the police. Call 911 in an emergency.
