MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Several cities and towns across Connecticut are bracing for strong winds and flooding as a nor'easter passes through the state.

The boat launch at Shipayard Lane in Milford has moderate flooding in the parking lot.

Title surges, wind and rain are the three components impacting communities on the shoreline. Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for minor to moderate flooding with water levels 1 to 3 feet above normal.

A Wind Advisory for the shore with wind gusts ranging from 30 to 45 and about 1 to 2 inches of rain is anticipated, as well.

AAA warns drivers to stay out of flooded areas, standing water on the roads, if possible.

Cities across the state said they are on the lookout in areas that are known to flood.
