Suspected gunman sparks dramatic police chase through village View Image

Two men were arrested following a police chase through a village near Bristol after it was reported that they were carrying a firearm, police have confirmed.

The incident was reported shortly before 5pm last Thursday, October 9, with firearms officers called to a rural field off the Old Down Road near Badminton.

A police helicopter was also called to help with the search.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

One of the men was also arrested for dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.

Both have since been released from police custody.
