(WFSB) - A nor’easter is impacting the shoreline on Monday, bringing strong winds and coastal flooding concerns that has resulted in ferry cancellations.
The storm is hitting coastal areas particularly hard, with New Haven County shoreline communities bearing the brunt of the weather system’s impact.
In Milford, conditions deteriorated throughout the day as the storm system moved through the region.
In Old Saybrook, high tide at 4 a.m. Monday brought water levels significantly higher than normal, though flooding remained mostly minor with some puddles forming in low-lying areas.
However, the combination of storm surge and high tides continues to pose a flooding threat to coastal communities.
The storm has also created possible dangerous driving conditions, with numerous leaves coverin
