England will be without Ollie Watkins for their trip to Latvia on Tuesday night as the striker has withdrawn from the squad due to injury.
The Aston Villa forward started and scored in the Three Lions’ 3-0 win over Wales in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday.
He was forced off at half-time, though, after suffering a painful injury when he collided with the post.
As he tried to poke home a low cross from the right into an open goal, Watkins miscued his shot and then hit the post with some force, leaving him clearly in a lot of pain on the ground.
England boss Thomas Tuchel said after the game: ‘He’s ok. It was a clear goal normally for him but unfortunately he saw the ball too late and couldn’t score and crashed into the post.
