PORTLAND, Ore. — Heads up drivers, Broadway Bridge in Portland is going to be closed for the next six months as crews work to resurface and repair the bridge deck.
The closure begins Oct. 13 and is expected to run through April 11, 2026, according to a news release from Multnomah County, which maintains the bridge.
The bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic while crews replace the deck on the moveable lift spans.
The Portland Streetcar will not be able to cross during the closure, so the A and B Loop routes will be temporarily modified to function as a single route with streetcars turning around in the Pearl and Lloyd districts instead of crossing. The stop at Northwest 9th and Lovejoy will be closed during the project.
The bridge's south sidewalk will remain open for "the majori
