PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Happy days are here again?

For the fourth week, gas prices in the Peoria went down, according to a leading website that monitors prices.

According to the GasBuddy website, the average price of gas in the Peoria area was $3.25 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 148 stations in Peoria. That's down 2.9 cents from last week's average.

That's nine cents lower than a month ago and 13.3 cents a gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel dropped 3.5 cents last week, with the national average being at $3.63 a gallon.

The cheapest places in the Peoria area, the website reported, was the Casey's and Road Ranger gas stations in Minonk that reported $2.89 a gallon. The most expensive area station was $3.49 a gallon.
