A man has denied murdering a young girl more than three decades after her body was dumped in a canal.
West Yorkshire Police issued an update in the 1994 Lindsay Rimer case today. The force's Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team confirmed they arrested a man at an unnamed prison in the UK.
Lindsay, 13, went missing after she walked to her local shop in Hebdon Bridge, West Yorkshire, to buy cornflakes in November 1994. She had visited the nearby Trades Club on Holme Street to get some money from her mum before heading to the Spar convenience store on Crown Street.
CCTV captured Lindsay in the store as she purchased cereal, before leaving at 10.23pm. She was flagged as missing to the police the following morning after she failed to turn up for her paper round. Her body was tragically fou
