A thug who pierced a teenager's heart with a blade during a birthday night out has been jailed.
Mohammed Ahmed-Altey's victim had been out celebrating his birthday when he was stabbed in the chest.
The 23-year-old callously rushed away from the scene as the victim fought for his life but was arrested the next day.
Ahmed-Altey was convicted of wounding with intent and possessing a knife in a public place following a trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
The defendant, previously of Bath Street, Nottingham, was jailed for 15 years on Friday, October 10.
The court heard how the victim was out with friends in Nottingham city centre when he was attacked in the early hours of November 17 last year.
