HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Loup County Sheriff’s Office is investigating allegations of child abuse involving an employee of Loup County Public Schools.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified of the incident on Sept. 23 and immediately began an investigation.

After completing the investigation, officials prepared an arrest warrant, which has been sent to the Loup County Court to be filed.

Sheriff Dustin Spanel released a statement about the incident.

“The safety of our children is of utmost importance. We take every allegation of abuse seriously, and we are committed to thoroughly investigating this matter. We ask the public to avoid speculation as the legal process continues,” Spanel said.
