A suspected drug dealer was due in court after cocaine and heroin was seized in West Bromwich.

Police were patrolling the town centre on Friday, October 10, when they saw a man 'acting suspiciously' near Springfield Crescent.

The class A drugs were found by officers during a search.

Abdul Hanif was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply.

The 44-year-old, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today (Monday, October 13).

A West Midlands police spokesperson said: "A man has been charged after officers recovered a quantity of class A drugs whilst on patrol in West Bromwich town centre.
