An elderly man was rushed to hospital after an 'incident' at an Edinburgh shopping centre.
We reported today on the emergency services presence at the Gyle Shopping Centre when several police vehicles and an ambulance were spotted on the scene.
Officials have since confirmed that an 80-year-old man was rushed to St John’s Hospital in Livingston for treatment.
The Scottish Ambulance Service received a call around 2pm to the incident on Gyle Avenue where a man required medical assistance.
Police also attended the scene and were later stood down. The man's condition is not currently known.
