HASLETT, Mich. (WLNS) — A Lansing-area farmer says his pumpkins are holding up well during the unseasonably warm and dry weather.

Bob Barkham, owner of Barkham Creek Farms in Haslett, said that though the weather has been warmer than usual, his pumpkins are in good shape.

Still, he acknowledged a few challenges.

"When it's 80 degrees and it's the end of the season, they're maturing. We've had some that they actually cook from the inside,” Bob Barkham said. • Haslett area pumpkins are in good condition, despite dry weather.
