ROBERTSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - It’s a case that shook Kentucky’s smallest county last October.

Torilena Fields is accused of killing and dismembering her mother, Trudy Fields in Robertson County.

She’s facing charges of murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.

We spoke to the family off camera. They said they’re left with questions after Monday. They say they were expecting a competency hearing. What they’re wanting are answers.

We spoke with Fields’ attorney, and Bluegrass regional manager for the Department of Public Advocacy, Chris Tracy after Monday’s pretrial conference.

“Today was never scheduled to be the hearing. We had hoped perhaps we might’ve had the hearing already,” Tracy said.
