GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Two people are facing gun charges after a traffic stop in Gibson County.
The Sheriff says an Audi S7 was pulled over shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
He says it was on Highway 41 near County 225 North.
Deputies say the driver, 39-year-old Frederick Bowers, of North Carolina, was under the influence of alcohol.
They say the passenger, 27-year-old Jediah West, of Vincennes, had a stolen handgun.
Deputies say the car was then searched, where a second gun was found.
Bowers’ charges include driving while intoxicated and possession of a firearm by a serious violent offender.
West is charged with theft of a firearm.
