More than a dozen people were injured Monday morning after two MTA buses collided in Queens, according to officials.
Police said the incident happened around 9 a.m. on Sanford Avenue near Bowne Street in Flushing when one bus rear-ended another bus as they approached the intersection.
One bus driver and 16 passengers were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, according to the NYPD. Authorities said the crash did not appear to be connected to any criminal behavior, though investigators were still looking into the cause.
According to the MTA , at least one of the buses involved in the collision was driving the Q27 route. Other buses along that route, including the Q13, Q26 and Q65, were detoured in both directions as officials cleaned up the scene, and the MTA said the buses wou
