The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory has welcomed a fourth polar bear, Astra.

Como Zoo announced Friday that it has welcomed the 4-year-old female polar bear, who weighs 700 pounds, from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Wash.

Astra made her public debut Monday at Como Zoo after a brief quarantine.

Astra is being gradually introduced to the zoo's other polar bears: 5-year-old Kulu, 30-year-old Nan and 29-year-old Neil. She's being kept separate from them for now, but they can all hear, see and smell each other in the Polar Bear Odyssey habitat, which includes 13,140 square feet of outdoor space and 3,260 square feet of indoor space.

"The next few weeks will be focused on helping her settle in and feel comfortable in her new surroundings," senior zookeeper Allison Jungheim said
